The PNW is one of the most beautiful spots in the country, with mountains, and the ocean within 2 hours of each other. The green summers full of wildflowers and the autumn’s filled with changing of the leaves there are so many different options for your dream engagement session. Below I have listed my 4 favorite locations around the PNW for your upcoming engagement session. 

First on the list, The Columbia River Gorge, of course. Living right outside of Portland Oregon means I have to take advantage of the Gorge. The sunsets out there are to die for, the wild flowers in late spring and early summer are breathtaking, and the area is just so huge its fun to run around. The drive out there can be a bit long, but some spots are within 30 minutes of Vancouver Wa and some others are about 60-90 minutes. I promise it’s totally worth it though. 

The Oregon Coast– Cannon beach is one of my favorite areas just in general but the lighting there in the spring and summer is so beautiful. Not only is the Oregon Coast beautiful but it brings out the best in people, everyone is more playful, relaxed and fun at the beach. It must be a science. 

Downtown Portland or Vancouver is a great spot for a more urban vibe. Both cities have lush parks full of blooms, beautiful old buildings and breweries that make for great backdrops for engagement photos. Both cities are also beautiful all year around so from winter to fall you are going to get solid photos. 

Mt. Hood– located 90 minutes outside of Vancouver Washington mt hood is covered in beautiful forests. There are so many trailheads to stop at that are beautiful, and in the early spring you can still find snow if that is what you’re looking for! What I love most about Mt. Hood is that you can actually get the tip of the Volcano in your shots if it’s a clear day.
