The Mt. Hood Ski Bowl is like being on top of the world on your wedding day. The views are to die for, all you guests will be transported up the mountain by ski lift, and get beautiful views of the evergreen trees under their feet. They will get to sit outside and enjoy the summer breeze and sun with views of Mt. Hood herself while you guys vow to forever to one another in front of that view. After your reception they will have the option to take the alpine slides down to your reception area that has a large dance floor and beautiful white tent for food and drinks.
While your guests mingle at cocktail hour you will get photos with those you love the most and have Mt.Hood as the back drop for that! It’s truly like being on set of a nature documentary, while dressed in your wedding gear. Stunning is the only word to describe it.
Kayla + Zac’s wedding at the Ski Bowl was such a blast, they had a large beautiful wedding party full of friends who are obsessed with them and their love story. The Wedding Photography below is some of my favorite images I’ve taken, it could be the location, it could be the colors but I truly believe it was the love the couple, their friends and family shared.

The day started at the warming hut where brides get ready surrounded by their bridal party, and closest friends.
One of my favorite things that brides do is opt out of a first look with their spouse and save that for the isle, I love the more traditional way of things okaayy? But I LOOOVE when brides do a first look with one of or both of their parents. Kayla did a first look with her father, and as a daddy’s girl myself I love this tradition.
Let’s give a round of aplause to the Bride and groom and how GORG they both were on their wedding day.

Okay, okay lets get to the good stuff, the ceremony shots! This ceremony site is what sells this wedding venue. You’re telling me that you can get married with this Bob Ross worthy backdrop? an hour outside of Portland Oregon? Say less honestly.
After the couple’s first kiss the remaining guests make their way down to the reception area buy taking the alpine slides down the literal mountain side. It’s amazing, I am not even joking, I have done it multiple times with all my photo gear on my back. LOL
The couple will spend this time getting family photos taken, do their bridal party group shots and slowly make their way to either the slides or the lift to make their way down to the reception area as well.
And now for the reception which is lowkey my favorite part of the wedding day, I looove the first dance and yes…yes I cry during every single one. I also love dancing on the dance floor with my couples, and seeing their favorite songs with their best friends. One of the things I offer all my couples is I give them their own point and shoot…well its mine but I tie it to their wrist and let them get all the best selfies with their friends and families. So enjoy some images from the reception area at the Mt. Hood Ski Bowl.
oh…I almost forgot about the golden hour portraits!
