The Time & Setting

Your session will last about an hour and will take place during the most magical time of day—golden hour. This is the hour before the sun fully sets, when the light is soft, flattering, and golden. It’s nature’s best filter, and it gives your images that dreamy glow we all love.

I’ve scouted and vetted some of the most beautiful locations in the Pacific Northwest—think scenic spots in the Columbia River Gorge, local parks in Vancouver, Washington or Portland, or even the rugged beauty of the Oregon Coast. Each location offers something unique and picturesque, and I’ll help guide you to the best choice based on your family’s vibe and vision.

A Session That Feels Like Play

Yes, we’ll get those traditional “everyone look and smile” shots, but honestly? Some of the best photos happen when no one is looking at the camera.

Your family session is more than just a photo shoot—it’s quality time with your loved ones. We’ll spend the hour laughing, playing, and exploring. I love getting to know your kids, joking around with them, and making the experience fun so they’re relaxed and being themselves. That connection and trust helps create more authentic, emotional images—ones where you can feel the joy and love just by looking at them.

Guidance from Start to Finish

Once you book, you’ll receive a helpful Welcome Guide to walk you through planning your session—from what to wear, to tips on getting your kiddos ready, to what to expect the day of.

Not sure if you should cut your child’s hair beforehand? (Spoiler alert: You don’t have to!) Want help coordinating outfits? I’m always just a message away with support, ideas, and encouragement. My goal is to help you feel confident and excited—not stressed.

The Final Delivery

Within 48 hours of your session, you’ll receive a few sneak peek images to get you excited and show off to friends and family. Your full gallery will be delivered in 3–4 weeks, and it will be absolutely overflowing with beautiful images—at least 50 fully edited photos, often more.

You’ll see a mix of classic posed portraits and candid moments: parents snuggling kids, siblings giggling together, tiny hands reaching for yours, and belly laughs you’ll want to remember forever.

You’ll get full access to every image—no limits on downloads—and you’ll also have access to a curated list of print shops I trust and use myself. Whether you’re creating a photo album, wall art, or prints for Grandma, you’ll have everything you need to preserve these memories.
