Us wedding vendors are noticing a pattern this last 18 months, and couples are booking their wedding vendors later and later than ever before!

The reasons | HIGHLY SUGGEST booking your wedding photographer about 9-12 months in advance is all because it HELPS YOU. I promise this is for you to have a better experience with your wedding photographer.

First and foremost your engagement photos, my wedding packages come with a complementary engagement session. To be able to take advantage of yours and get the most out of them you want to be able to schedule them during the prime time of year for photos, and in the PNW that is late May-October. If you book your wedding photographer to close to your wedding date, our schedule is going to already be pretty full of other weddings, and other engagement sessions. So you might have to do early spring when the trees still aren’t in full bloom or close to your wedding date, so by booking a year in advance you are more likely to get in during the warmer months and have them done well before your wedding.

  Your dream team: You’re more likely to get your dream team of wedding vendors if you book a year in advance! I strongly believe that hiring the photographer you align with is one of the most important things you can do for your wedding. These photos are your actual MEMORIES, and they deserve to be documented by the photographer you love. So by booking well in advance you’re more likely to get on their schedule!

  Lastly, you’re going to save money… normally photographers up their prices in the fall for the future season. So if let’s say you’re getting married the following June and you book your photographer in July of the current year, you’ll get that years pricing for next year!

Doing all of these things helps you win in all the ways, and it helps your photographer plan for the year ahead as well. But honestly this isn’t about me its about you, the couple who deserves to have the wedding of your dreams and I promise you are more likely to get exactly what you want if you book a year in advance.

So if you’re getting engaged this year, and planning to say I do in the new year, book your wedding vendors as early as possible! Normally once your venue is booked, book everyone else… also book your wedding venue in advance too (you’ll save money there too! lol) Plus it allows for you be at ease the months leading up to your big day because you’re dream team is all lined up!
